Financial advisors undergo rigorous education and training to attain the certifications and skills necessary to succeed in this career. The path to becoming a professional financial advisor can be direct, or may include a number of twists, turns and side trips depending on past education and experience. This course study provides training to assist in weighing all of the pros and cons—including  work hours, earning  expectations, course options, and step-by-step, in-depth trainings with certifications to becoming a registered  financial advisor..


Steps to Becoming a Financial Advisor Intern

Step 1.  THE MINIMUM ENTRY.  

A bachelor's degree is an edge although at least 2 years in college can jump start to this life changing career as a financial advisor.  Open for applicants 22 to 40 years old.   Majors in finance, economics, business, statistics or similar fields are acceptable.  Financial advisors can be generalists, or they may specialize in one of several areas, including retirement, estate planning, or insurance and investments.

Step 2  SERVE AS AN INTERN.   

Academic instruction in the classroom or online provides the foundation for learning, but internships offer opportunities for financial advisors to get real-world experience.  It's important for students to attend our trainings that has forged relationships with seasoned financial advisors that can provide training opportunities for students to practice what they have learned, and gain instruction and insight from mentors working in the field and management in our branch.  Students become interns of Powerful Delta Oasis with financial institution training partner Manulife Philippines. 

Step 3.  OBTAIN CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Numerous certifications are available for scholar/intern financial advisors, usually after they have accrued three months of experience accessing online courses and jump start program.   Certification typically requires specialized training or coursework online,  and continuing education.    Financial Advisor scholar/interns are certified by the (IC) Insurance Commission of the Philippines and once they pass the IC Examinations,   they are tagged to our partner company, Manulife Philippines,  certified to sell life insurance and Variable Universal Life VUL Insurance.   Life and VUL registered Financial Advisor.  - Basically a "Study To Work" Course Program. 

COURSE OUTPUT

Oasis Academy Financial Advisor scholar/intern and graduates possess a wide range of business and marketing skills. The ability to analyze and organize data is a virtually learnt, while a strong grasp of digital point of sales helps them with accurate and extensive number-crunching offers. Critical thinking skills allow them to spot trends, evaluate the pros and cons of a particular course of action, and make changes when necessary.

Communication skills are vital and our Financial Advisor Graduates work with a variety of people who have different financial backgrounds and levels of knowledge.     They are able to present complicated information and explain technical jargon - simplified - in understandable terms.  Finally, they are able to engender trust with their clients and adhere to the industry's set of ethical standards, including integrity, objectivity, fairness and confidentiality.  

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: 

PHASE 1
Digital Tools Needed:
Must have a Laptop, IPad, Tablets with digital pen for (EPOS) Electronic Point Of Sale.

Course Program Procedure: ​ ​​
1. Take Course Program interview after attending the Life Champions Career Orientation.
2. Online LIMRA Assessment  
3. Contracting Kit Sign Up.   Attend Pre Licensing Courses specified in the program.

​Internship:   ​4 hours a day. 5 days a week.   Take Jump Start Program, Take IC Exam Review and Examinations.

​Examination Fee:  P2,500.00 for National Insurance Commission Exams and Miscellaneous fees.  If the scholar passes the IC Exams,  the IC examination fee will be refunded.   

Financial Advisor Course Graduation.   Intern is conferred as Certified Financial Advisor.

PHASE 2
Internship Program.   Starts after being tagged as Certified Financial Advisor.   
While working as a Certified Financial Advisor -  the successful intern will  sign and embark on a cooperative arrangement whereby new scholars are paired or teamed up and assume responsibility for one another's instruction, productivity, personal development and leadership growth.
